Ignacia identifies with her favor poem “Barbie Doll” by Marge Piercy. This poem was published in 1971, it brakes her heart to see that 41 years later women are still victim of the unrealistic beauty expectations. Society wants to change women for them to be accepted. All her life, she has been hounded by assumptions and gossip, but she has always ignored this negativity, focusing on her job, her role as a foster parent, and her daughter.
